Position Summary:
The Director of Nursing Informatics will support Nursing Practice and Policy through the use of information technologies and applications. The nursing informatics specialty integrates nursing science, computer science and information science to manage and communicate data, information and knowledge ion nursing practice. Supports nursing practice through the use of information structures, information processes and information technology to advance patient care.
Responsibilities:
This position will continually evaluate the use of the electronic medical record with respect to nursing practice; evaluate new technology and implement new processes.
Utilizes the information systems life cycle and other analytic models and process to analyze data, information and information system requirements and nursing process to support clinical practice.
Conducts comprehensive needs assessments and analyzes current practice, workflow, and the impact of proposed informatics solutions on that workflow; develops functional and technical specifications based on the needs assessment.
Designs, develops, selects and evaluates information technology, data structures and decision support mechanisms creating an integrated information system for nursing practice.
Leads the nursing department’s development and advocates for the adoption of innovative clinical information systems.
Works in collaboration with other Nursing Directors, Director of Clinical Informatics and CIO to plan, develop, implement and evaluate new software, programs and initiatives.
Acts as the internal expert and resource to nursing providers on issues of information technology, the documentation of nursing care in the electronic medical record; Makes recommendations to other patient care disciplines to improve coordination and collaboration in information management.
Participates in development and implementation of nursing staff education pertaining to information technology.
Promotes the integrity of, and access to personal health information in the electronic data, including confidentiality issues, legal, ethical and security issues.
Develops nursing policies, procedures and guidelines for information technology.
Required Competencies:
•Current Florida RN License
•Master’s Degree in Nursing with a focus on informatics strongly preferred;
•Master’s degree in Nursing with substantial informatics experience
•Board certification in Nursing Informatics on hire or within one year
•Current competency in clinical nursing practice and knowledge of workflow
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Competency in project management and organizational change
•Experience with Cerner clinical programs strongly preferred
•Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
Compensation: DOE (Depending on Experience)

Position Title: Certified Physician Assistant

Job Location: Vernal, UT
Job Description:
Physician assistant (PA) assists and relieves doctors of routine chores, allowing them to devote more of their time to patient care that requires highly specialized training. Practice medicine and do many of the jobs doctors do. Take medical histories, examine and treat patients, order and interpret laboratory tests and X-rays, make diagnoses, treat minor injuries, instruct and counsel patients, and order or carry out therapy. In most states, PAs can also prescribe medicines.
This position is new because of community need and expansion.
Responsibilities:
Duties include but not limited to: conduct Pre-Employment Physicals, Post Accident Physicals, Drug Screens, Educating Business in Preventing Work-Related Risks, Creating Wellness Programs, Setting up Health Fairs, working with safety officers of companies, managing / marketing of the clinic and helping it get set-up, etc.
Hours are normally 8-5 with occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate health fairs, educational presentations, drug screens, etc.
Requirements:
Experienced in occupational and industrial medicine preferred
BS Degree or Master's degrees.
Certified Physician Assistant
Registration with State Medical Board
Compensation: DOE (Depending on Experience)
